Christianity at Ebb

 Throughout history, when Christianity is persecuted, it grows. It experiences tremendous growth, and has from its earliest days. What we see here in the West is the ebb of Christianity. It has lost much of its influence. The West became fat with ease and abundance. When that happens, the things that caused the ease and abundance are forgotten. It happened with ancient Israel. Once they were secure, they strayed from God and His Law. They paid lip service in many cases, but many outright turned away from Him. Here in the West, we've done the same. So far, the Evil One hasn't had to persecute Christians. He just allows, no, he encourages us to make excuses, to change things to make God more palatable. To steer us to make a god after ourselves. Thus, you see the demand for acceptance of all forms of perversion. 

You see people 'deconstructing' their faith, if they ever truly had it. You see wolves in sheep's clothing ravening the church. People like Talerico, or the folks at Bethel, or any number of others. Even the Roman church is experiencing this. They twist and turn God's Law into what they wish it to be, not what it IS. God is judging us and allowing this to happen. He has given us over. Eventually, when the Evil One is confident enough, the persecution will begin in earnest. See Canada and their bill C 9. Also, Canada is killing its own citizens through the MAID program. Look at how Christians in Western Nations who hold true are treated. See the way Islam is coddled, especially in Europe and the UK. It's starting quietly here in the US. Little things that most don't even notice, like zoning laws, or how churches with a particular political bent can have politicians in them and no one bats an eye, but if one that preaches the true Gospel, as well as that which God forbids, well, then they're pushing their religion on you, and MUST be silenced. How some so-called churches, Synagogues of Satan in my view, and saying God didn't really mean all that 'Thou Shalt Not' stuff. How "love is love", no matter how perverse. How God is just fine with the slaughter of the unborn, or the mutilation of perfectly healthy bodies. 

As more and more pagans take political office in this Nation, you will see the persecution begin in earnest. Once the Evil One has enough power, it will intensify. As more evil unbelievers get into positions of power, as more weak Christians refuse to stand, so the trials will grow. It will happen. The only possibility we have to avoid that end is for God to work in the hearts of unbelievers. We must stand true, no matter what, to the Truth of His Word. Not like those of the Westboro Baptists, with hatred, but rather with steady peace and love. Speak the truth in love and firmness.  Don't vacillate or back down, but don't be a jerk. After all, even though they are lost, they are still made in God's image. We want them to come to a true and saving faith, that we may call them brothers and sisters in Christ.
