The Purveyors of Prophecy

 So many see what's going on in the Middle East as prophecy being fulfilled. They are almost giddy at the thought. They can't even entertain the possibility that they are wrong. The slaughter happening there doesn't seem to register with them. It's pretty sad, really. They have taken Biblical prophecy written to people of another time and extrapolated it to this time. Many of them have been steeped in this kind of thinking their entire lives, never having even looked at other possibilities. Not once did they think they, and their teachers, might be wrong. 


Revelation was not written to us. Nor was Daniel, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, or any of the other prophets. They were written to the people of their time, in their context. We can learn from them, we can strive to avoid the traps and snares those people fell into, but they were not written TO us. They were passed on to us as a warning, a lesson. We are not doing well at learning the lesson. Neither have the Jews learned. They are still apostate if they reject Jesus. Also, the modern State of Israel is NOT the Israel of Scripture. The push by so many to equate Israel today with Israel past is a fool's errand and a twisting of Scripture. When Jesus gave his Olivet Discourse, he was speaking to THOSE people, THAT generation. Not to you, not to me. We are not remotely close to the so-called End times. 


In fact, we are rapidly approaching a time of Judgment for the once-Christian West. Islam is ascendant with the help of fools on the Left who think they can control Islam. It is also ascendant because politicians on BOTH sides of the aisle are corrupt and decadent. So is most of the population. Many so-called churches partner with the World and Islam because they think they will be accepted if they're the 'good' christians. They are in for a rude and violent awakening. Islam and the Left get on well for the moment because they both lie to each other. Islam gets on with so-called christians because the GC's want to be nice. One wonders if they'll meekly present their necks to the sword of Islam. Man, this subject wears me out. So many are blind to their own destruction. This is Judgment.

Trump Doesn't Solve our Problems!

 So, Donald Trump has been elected as our next President. Many are elated. While I understand their elation that we dodged the bullet of the puppet Harris and her controllers, it's ONLY a reprieve. Trump supporters seem to have forgotten that Trump will be, should he survive and make it to the inauguration, the President. Not the Emperor, not the King. He will be the President. Many of his supporters seem to forget that last time it wasn't just Democrats doing everything they could to sabotage him, but Republicans as well. There are many Republicans who hate him just as much as Democrats, but they hide it under a false face. Many of these despise the Constitution until it's useful to THEM. Many in Congress and the Senate will resist anything he does just because they hate him. You say "We'll primary them!" So what? You don't control the voters of those precincts. End of Year Thoughts

 What a year it has been. Trump will likely be inaugurated on Jan 20th. I say likely as the Left isn't as vanquished as so many crow about. They have no inkling just how deeply corrupted the bureaucracy, aka The Swamp, is nor how many politicians are corrupted. Also, those corrupt politicians wouldn't be there but for an oblivious or corrupted electorate. Do you see where this is going? As a Nation, we are fundamentally corrupt. We've pulled away from God and decided WE know best. We've seen the results of this across the entire spectrum of our Nation and Culture. That is, those of us with our eyes open.
