Wolves in Sheep's Clothing
If you wonder what the greatest danger to the church is today, all you need to do is look inside the church. There are many 'pastors' coming out of leftwing seminaries these days. Most seminaries have shifted leftward as they have been infiltrated by individuals who conceal their true beliefs to secure employment. Once inside, and after achieving a certain status, they are no longer as careful to conceal their true beliefs. You see this in many Southern Baptist Seminaries, as well as others. Yes, the leftward drift is also plain in the Roman Church. It has been going on for some time. When a so-called Christian organization starts promoting things that Scripture is decidedly against, you must close your eyes to deny it. The acceptance of women pastors, the LGBTQ+ crowd, and the pro-abortion folks are a dead giveaway. Yet many in those churches refuse to speak up about it. They are cowards who won't stand for Scripture or the commands of God.
I'm reading Shepherds for Sale by Megan Basham, and she brings the receipts. I've long had no use for the gatekeepers in Big Eva, and, less than halfway into her book, my resolve is only solidified. What you'll find is that many institutions that start out Scriptural only stay that way for one or two generations of leadership. Then, the wolves come in, speaking 'Christianese', rise to power, and begin changing the direction. Leftists have fully captured the SBC, and have twisted many other churches through their capture of many seminaries. How do they maintain control? Simple. Their flocks either do not READ their Bibles, or they refuse to speak up because they either don't want to be called divisive, or worse, to be called racist/sexist/homophobic/Islamophobic/hater. Instead, some stay and keep their heads down. Others quietly leave. Almost none speak up and fight.
I think this is how God judges the church. He allows false teachers to come in. The goats will stay, and His true sheep will fight back and leave if they can't muster up others to resist. We've seen many a denomination split over this leftward drift. The leftist part of the denomination withers. Yet, the damage is already done. My personal rule is simply this: the moment you see the drift start, speak up. The rot always starts with something small, nothing really important. It is though. Big things all start as small things.
