At the Crossroads

Our Nation has never been in more danger of being destroyed than we are right now. This is of course, my opinion. For decades the evils of Leftism have been allowed to fester and be taught to several generations of young people with little serious pushback from people who should know better. The One True God has been chased from schools, as well as much of public life, and the effects of this are Legion. Legion, as in Demonic. The rampant and perverted sexuality, the twisting of the minds of children to make them think they're not the right sex, as well as the mass violence we're seeing are all the results of our turn away from the Good, the Beautiful, and the True. Now we see murder being excused because the murdered was guilty of 'wrong-think'. Think about that. Millions of people are just fine with his murder because he DISAGREED with them! Then there are the Politicians who don't even hesitate to speak of their desire to murder an opponent! And others EXCUSE IT! If you can't see this evil, perhaps your heart has been seared and you're incapable of seeing it. Others, if they had any self-awareness, would look in the mirror and wonder what they've become. Some are and are leaving Leftism.

It has been said by great men that America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we fall, it will be from within. Well, that's what I see happening. We are being torn apart from within. Oh, to be sure, there are foreign actors, along with domestic ones funding and driving this. Yet, I don't think it could have gone as far as it has if we hadn't turned away from God. When a people turn away from Him, He gives them over to the evil that resides within all of us. The Old Testament is replete with this pattern. In the Gospel's, Israel is warned that they are coming to an end. Paul warns us in Roman's what God does when mans sins become great. He gives them over and they destroy themselves. Look around. It's happening right in front of you.

Can our course be corrected? Can enough people repent and seek His mercy so that He saves us? Yes. With God, this is possible. Still, I wonder if we're too far gone.
