Defacto Censorship

 We've all said it in one form or another; "They're censoring 'X'!" Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Amazon hosting services, etc. Private companies deciding who can use their service or not and what content is allowed. Examples include Trump being banned from Twitter and other platforms, Facebook and its' so-called 'fact checkers', YouTube removing content that questions the approved Covid Narrative, and Amazon removing Parler. Yes. A Private Company can do this and it's not censorship in the terms of the Government doing it. It IS, however, Defacto Censorship. Why? Put simply, when all the ones doing it do so at the behest of Governmental Authorities of one Party or another. In this case, they're doing it with the Left's/Democrat explicit approval! Of course, all the heads of these companies, as well as their Human Resource Dept's people, are leftists as well. It's one giant Echo-chamber. THEY determine what YOU will be allowed to see/hear and in some respects, what you'll be allowed to think/say. 

They can throttle your views, demonetize your videos, shadow ban you, or outright lock you out. All for the crime of Bad-Think. Bad-Think is anything that goes against Leftist Orthodoxy. This IS censorship writ large. It is also VERY anti-American and VERY Authoritarian. The saddest part is that many Americans are just fine with it. If that doesn't tell you what the future of Freedom and Liberty is in store for, there's no helping you. When you're ok with the denial of free thought and expression, the hearing/seeing of views you disagree with, and the silencing of any opposition to one approved belief, you have become a supporter of Tyranny. One wonders how you came to that sad state? Ramble ends.
