The Gospel, Now More Than Ever!

 As I look around my city, my State, My Nation, and The World I see more and more the need for the Gospel of Christ Jesus to be given. In Romans 1 Paul speaks of God giving man over to man's wicked desires. In 2nd Thessalonians, we read of God sending strong delusion upon men. If you look around, you see the results of both.

I've written before that I believe the World at large, but especially what we call The West is under God's Judgement ala Romans 1:18-32. I do not believe us to be under his full wrath at this time, as our sins have not reached their full measure. Full Measure is when God finally brings destruction upon a Nation. We are close, but not quite there. We have called evil and perversion good, and that which is good, beautiful, and true we are abandoning. Oh, there will be little moments of sanity such as we see in the Old Testament, but they will not last. Man grows more and more wicked and debauched. One merely need turn on the news or what passes for entertainment, or for that matter, what passes as 'education' and you will notice what I write of. You'll notice if you've not been drawn into it too far. Man's utter wickedness is on display for all to see.

THAT is why the Gospel is needed! It is the Gospel of Jesus Christ alone that brings salvation! There is no other name under Heaven by which men can be saved. PERIOD! Does that sound arrogant and exclusive? Perhaps. Still, it IS the truth. The Apostles Peter, and Paul both told people to "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you WILL be saved!" Believe? Believe how? You must believe that Jesus is the incarnation of God in human flesh. That he came among us, lived a sinless life, that he was nailed to a cross where he bore the full cup of God's wrath for OUR sins. That he suffered, died, and was buried. That he rose on the 3rd day and is seated with God in Heaven until he returns to judge the living and the dead. That, in an imperfect nutshell, is the Gospel. Why imperfect? Because I am an imperfect human being. I am a sinner. I am one who has been saved by Christ. I am not good at spreading the Good News of Christ. I am a hard man and not as compassionate as I ought to be. Yet, sinner that I am, Christ saved me!

Do not think that belief in Jesus, the TRUE Jesus is easy. That your life will somehow be perfect if you profess belief. No, that's what false teachers, wolves in sheep's clothing pedal. They are sons of their father, the devil and they will ultimately pay in the end for all those who were foolishly led astray. No, by staying true to God's word, to Jesus, you will face persecution. IN many parts of this world, Christians are murdered for their refusal to deny Jesus. In parts of the West, you can be arrested for warning against homosexuality, transgenders, etc. In the US, not quite yet. You can lose your job, but won't be arrested. Yet. Yes, that will come here, only more slowly. So, be warned. Jesus warned that we would face persecution. He said the world loves its own and hates Him(Jesus). The Gospel also warns that friendship with the World is Enmity with God. 

Lastly, if you've read this, you've heard, however poorly, The Gospel. Once heard, you can no longer say that you've not heard it. So, your eternal destination is now on your head. Will you choose Jesus and eternal life? Or will you deny him and choose eternity in hell? Those are the ONLY choices. May God grant you wisdom to choose wisely this day whom you will serve.
